Tidewave Medical takes your privacy seriously and want to be clear and concise about how we handle your personal data. This privacy policy describes how Tidewave Medical strives for compliance with the new EU laws regarding General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which are in effect from 25th of May 2018. It describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit our website.
Why do we collect your personal data?
Tidewave Medical collect data to understand and analyse the website browsing of our visitors so that we can improve the experience. Additionally, if you sign up for our newsletter or webinars, we aim to keep you updated on the latest information about our company and product.
Personal data we may collect
When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. On the bottom of our website you find a bar giving you the option to Accept or Reject Tidewave Medical’s use of cookies. As you browse further on our website, we automatically collect information about the individual pages that you view, using the following technologies:
- Cookies: data files created on your computer when you visit a website, storing information about how you interact with it. Cookies ensure a consistent and efficient experience for visitors, and perform essential functions such as allowing users to register and remain logged in.
- Log files: track actions occurring on the website, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
- Web beacons: electronic files used to record information about how you browse the website.
- In addition, if you sign up for our webinar, your email address, name, IP location and timestamp activity is collected. This requires an additional consent from you when signing up which is voluntary to submit (Personal Data Act § 8(1)). There will be emails sent to remind you of the webinar, and an email to follow up with webinar information afterwards.
How do we use the information we collect?
The above listed information is mainly collected to communicate with you, either through the interaction with our website or through the webinars. The automatically collected data also enables us to analyze the general interaction of our visitors, so that we can keep on improving our website and webinar experience.
Sharing your personal data
Tidewave Medical does not intentially share your personal data with third party services, however we do use third party providers, who may further share your personal data with third parties. However, your data is stored in reliable cloud services that provides us to analyze our website traffic (WordPress in combination with Automattic, Monster Insight and hu-manity) and to hold and monitor the webinars (TwentyThree).
